Position: Maintenance Assistant
Mission: Ensure the hotel’s interior and exterior are maintained to the highest standards, performing both proactive and reactive general maintenance. You will handle everything from fixtures and fittings to plumbing, electrics, and equipment, ensuring all work meets company standards, legal regulations, and guest expectations. Responsibilities also include painting, decorating, and coordinating with the front desk and contractors for planned maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all maintenance and decorating tasks meet expected standards.
Maintain up-to-date records of room audits.
Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests.
Keep tools and equipment in excellent condition.
Proactively address and resolve maintenance issues.
Be fully versed in the hotel’s health, safety, fire, and emergency procedures.
Assist with pre-planned maintenance as directed by your line manager.
Attend all required meetings, briefings, and training sessions.
What We Are Looking For:
Qualification in at least one maintenance trade with prior experience in hotel maintenance.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
A proactive, positive, and flexible attitude.
Strong team player with the ability to support colleagues and other departments.
Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
