As part of this exciting journey, we are seeking several dynamic and motivated Senior Lecturers to join our growing team and help shape the future of business education.

The Opportunity:

Due to our recent expansion, we are looking to recruit Senior Lecturers with specialisms in the following key areas:

  • Marketing (including Digital Marketing)

  • Data Analytics

  • Sustainability

  • Entrepreneurship

  • Supply Chain Management

These positions will support our extensive portfolio of business and accounting courses. We are particularly interested in candidates who are passionate about bringing cutting-edge practices into the classroom and have experience applying current business trends and innovations in their teaching.





Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and delivery of our business and accounting programs. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Teaching across a range of programs, including foundation, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students.

  • Leading and contributing to curriculum design and development, ensuring that our courses remain relevant to the needs of the industry and that they incorporate the latest academic research and practical business insights.

  • Engaging with students to deliver dynamic and interactive learning experiences, using innovative teaching methods and technologies to support their development.

  • Supporting students through academic advising, project supervision, and personal development initiatives, helping them to achieve both their academic and career goals.

  • Undertaking research and scholarly activity that informs your teaching and contributes to the advancement of knowledge in your specialist area.

  • Developing and maintaining links with external business and industry partners, ensuring that our students have opportunities for real-world learning through placements, projects, and live case studies.

  • Contributing to the overall management and leadership of the Business School, playing an active role in committees, strategic initiatives, and staff development.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are seeking forward-thinking individuals with a passion for teaching and a commitment to delivering high-quality, applied business education. You will possess:

  • A Relevant Academic Background: A first degree, Masters, and/or PhD/DBA in a relevant discipline. If you do not currently hold a PhD/DBA, a commitment to pursuing one once in post is essential for full-time roles.

  • Professional Recognition: Registration with an appropriate professional body is desirable, along with membership in the Higher Education Academy (HEA).

  • Industry Experience: Candidates with significant professional experience are especially welcome. Your real-world knowledge and understanding of current business practices will be vital in ensuring our students receive the most up-to-date and practical education.

  • Teaching Experience: Experience in higher education teaching, curriculum development, or mentoring is highly desirable. We are looking for staff who can effectively integrate contemporary business practices and cutting-edge research into their teaching.

  • Research-Informed Teaching: A strong track record of using research to inform teaching and the ability to engage students with up-to-date theories, models, and practices relevant to your specialist area.

  • Collaborative Spirit: The ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to the Business School’s collegial and innovative culture.

  • Business Links: A strong professional network and the ability to nurture relationships between courses and real-world businesses to enhance students' employability and practical learning experiences.
