We are looking for people to join our vibrant, diverse international group of practitioner-academics, who come from a range of professional backgrounds.


LBS has a long history of applied learning and excellent industry engagement. We are now looking for applications from academics with significant professional experience in broadcast and/or multimedia journalism to teach and lead a range of modules, including our newly accredited MSc in Sports Journalism, our established BA (Hons) in Sports Journalism, and other courses of relevance.


Key Responsibilities:


The successful candidate will have:


Significant, current professional experience in the broadcast and multimedia journalism sector.

A commitment to the delivery of high-quality teaching in sports journalism modules, as well as wider broadcast and multimedia journalism experience.

Strong storytelling and editorial skills across various media platforms, including UK television and radio.

Some knowledge of cross-platform journalism is desirable, along with BJTC accreditor experience.


Knowledge of traditional journalism and continuing involvement in the industry.


With industry experience, teaching experience within the last years of teaching in Higher Education, and module leadership, the candidate is assumed to be actively involved with postgraduate research. Giving speeches full of passion, knowledge, and creativity to teach undergraduates and postgraduates in journalism programs offered at LBS, presents a challenge with very high organization skills and a focus on students.






Key Responsibilities:


As a member of our team, you would be responsible for:


Teach and/or undertake relevant research across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Supervise student projects and/or dissertations

Work to support our efforts to develop partnerships with local and national media as well as sporting organizations.

Carry out research contributing to our increasingly strong academic profile.
