In this role, you will assist in the design and delivery of leading-edge courses in Aviation Management within the Aerospace Engineering and Pilot Studies Programmes. You will mentor students, develop their skills, and facilitate research initiatives. We are interested specifically in applicants who have both academic excellence and relevant experience in practice, or potential to bring these aspects to the task, within the sphere of the aviation industry, possibly within safety management, security, or airworthiness.

We also warmly welcome those who have a research focus in mind to apply, if you have a portfolio of work or plans for developing researches in Aerospace and Aviation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver quality, innovative courses in Aviation Management.

  • Mentor and educate students through important concepts of aviation in the context of Aerospace Engineering.

  • Contribute to departmental research and knowledge exchange initiatives.

  • Work with the industry sector and establish partnership agreements, which would be beneficial for students based on increased learning and employability.

About You:

  • You hold experience in the aviation industry, cutting across management of safety, security, and airworthiness.

  • Must be, or will soon complete, a postgraduate qualification in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation, Management, or any related field.

  • Applicants holding professional practice equivalencies at the same level and holding relevant experience are also invited to apply.

  • A teaching qualification and experience of teaching in higher education are advantageous but not necessary.

  • You advocate for diversity and inclusivity in all aspects of the learning environment.

We especially welcome and encourage applications from those who are female, nonbinary, or members of the Global Majority in our continued efforts to build diversity of thought and experience.
