Global Banking School currently invites applicants for the position of committed Lecturers to join its team of faculty members. We are seeking candidates with a strong background in Global Business, Project Management or/and Business Psychology. Your lectures and discussions should include a range of advanced business theories and practices. Above all, however, we appreciate your commitment to academic excellence and new, innovative teaching methods.
We posted excellent results in the 2024 National Student Survey (NSS), scoring above the sector average for all themes and we improved on last year's very good results in 7 out of 10 themes.
We are currently recruiting for several full-time and hourly paid Lecturers in the following themes:
MSc Global Business
BSc Project Management
BSc Business Psychology
You should also be able to demonstrate flexibility to teach at any time from 9.00am - 6.00pm on any day.
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Main Responsibilities
All aspects of planning, delivery, and assessment of student work, including achieving all intended learning outcomes using a range of learning and teaching methods/materials. \
Develop, update, and review course materials appropriately. \
Manage/lead modules/units. \
Keep abreast of new developments in the subject area and pedagogy. \
As a member of a team, play an active and full part in engaging and keeping students.
Attend meetings as required to provide input to aid in decision-making, and to develop collaborative work relationships with some of the teams you will collaborate with.
To actively participate in staff development activities including peer observations
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience
You will have qualifications at least at the Master's level in a relevant subject area and normally hold a PhD or otherwise be able to demonstrate equivalent high-level professional experience in the related field.
A Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or willingness to enter a teaching program during probation and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent)
Previous teaching experience for similar courses
Supporting and providing feedback and guidance on students' work
Teaching within the subject area
Professional practice in all interactions with staff and students at all times
Extensive knowledge of relevant subject material
A high commitment to continued personal and professional development
The use of thorough and meticulous attention to detail in reporting
Excellent, well-organized student records
Ability to cope with pressure and plan and prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines.
Work with a minimum of supervision as highly motivated
Excellent skills in communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills
Ability to work with a diversity of groups of people
Desirable Skills and Experience
Experience in the design/development of academic or professional education programs or equivalent
