Regarding the position. Job title: Marketing Assistant at Coleman, Campingaz Area in Manchester (Cheadle), United Kingdom Reports to: Head of Marketing Type of contract: Permanent, full-time employment with a hybrid work arrangement. Summary of your position and group. Your primary responsibility as a Marketing Assistant is to assist in developing marketing and sales strategies for Outdoor & Recreation brands, such as Coleman, Campingaz, and Marmot. You will focus on unique projects and campaigns to assist in driving sales and generating profits for us. Your role involves ensuring our brand message reaches our customers and differentiates us in the market. You will assist in the release of new products and aid in promoting our brand's major campaigns. You will join a Marketing team of eighteen members, two of whom will be dedicated to the Outdoor & Recreation brands at our Cheadle office. We will support you in reaching your objectives and growing through consistent feedback and online training course opportunities.

Responsibilities that are assigned to you for which you are primarily accountable.


Assists with Brand/Marketing communication strategies and ensures marketing adjustments adhere to the overall strategy and remain uniform.
  • Assists with the yearly trade management planning, synchronizes planning with calendars, and comprehends brand and customer preferences.
  • Plans and conducts trade shows & conferences based on customer and internal needs manages registrations, organizes brand representation and internal team members, creates required marketing materials promptly, and monitors and manages the budget.
  • Takes part in the strategic planning and on-time implementation of marketing goals for the upcoming year.
  • Assists with brand initiatives by following the brand's identity and guidelines, including creating consumer promotion materials, point-of-sale displays, PR materials, and different customer experiences.
  • Helps oversee the Advertising & Promotion (A&P) budget, setting up vendors, creating purchase orders (POs), and updating trackers and systems while also analyzing campaign ROI.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams and agencies to create a variety of products such as displays, clip strips, and gift sets, to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Keeps an eye on competition, customers, trends, and regulations in the region.

Materials required

  • A degree from a university, specifically in Marketing, is preferred.
  • Past marketing experience, ideally in a global company focusing on business-to-consumer interactions.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal)
  • Shown abilities in analysis and organization
  • Proficient in using MS Office programs, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
