Job  full information:

Leeds Beckett University is seeking to appoint a dedicated and motivated Degree Apprenticeship Assessor specializing in Building Services Engineering or Civil Engineering. This role will involve supporting the development and delivery of apprenticeship degree programs for individuals pursuing careers in these fields.

Working closely with a dynamic team of academic staff, the university’s apprenticeship team, and in collaboration with industry partners and employers, the successful candidate will contribute to the design and delivery of our apprenticeship courses. This will include conducting both virtual and on-site visits to apprentices and their workplaces to ensure alignment between academic learning and industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the academic team, industry partners, and employers to develop and deliver high-quality apprenticeship programs.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentices throughout their learning journey, helping them acquire the knowledge, skills, and behaviors necessary for success.

  • Conduct regular reviews with apprentices and employers to monitor progress, address challenges, and plan next steps.

  • Work in partnership with the End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) and internal university contacts to ensure an apprentice-centered service.

  • Engage actively in program development and contribute to maintaining strong relationships with industry stakeholders.

We are looking for an individual with a Bachelor’s degree and relevant professional experience in Building Services Engineering or Civil Engineering. Candidates should have a passion for supporting learners from diverse backgrounds and be committed to delivering industry-focused education.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • Practical, industry-specific experience in Building Services Engineering or Civil Engineering.

  • Experience supporting a wide variety of learners in an educational or apprenticeship context is highly desirable.




Appointment Details:

  • Full-time (37 hours per week) or Part-time (17.5 hours per week) opportunities available.

  • Job sharing and flexible working arrangements will be considered. Please indicate your preference for full-time or part-time in your application.
