What You'll Do

As a Cleaning Colleague at Asda, you'll play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the store. Your responsibilities will include:

• Daily Cleaning Tasks: You will complete essential cleaning routines each day to ensure that all areas of the store, both inside and outside, are spotless and well-maintained. This includes sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing high-traffic areas like the entrance, aisles, and customer service areas.

• Working with the Team: You’ll collaborate with other store colleagues and departments to maintain high cleanliness standards, ensuring that all areas are ready for our customers to enjoy their shopping experience.

• Operating Cleaning Machinery: Full training will be provided, allowing you to safely and efficiently operate any necessary cleaning equipment, such as floor buffers or vacuum cleaners.

• Responding to Ad-Hoc Cleaning Requests: Whether it’s handling a spill in an aisle or a quick clean-up in the restrooms, you’ll be ready to respond to unexpected requests with speed and efficiency.

• Ensuring a Positive Customer Experience: Cleanliness is a crucial part of the shopping journey, and your role is pivotal in creating a pleasant atmosphere for our customers. By ensuring that the store is consistently clean and tidy, you'll help ensure our customers have a great experience from the moment they walk through the door.
