The University of Exeter is seeking a dynamic and motivated Postdoctoral Research and Impact Fellow to join the 3-year EPSRC-funded Digital Innovation and Circular Economy Network+. This interdisciplinary network aims to drive a transformative shift towards sustainability and circularity in digital and communication technologies, harnessing the digital revolution to create a circular economy across sectors and value chains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Development and Delivery: Build and maintain relationships with eight participating universities and industry partners. Facilitate collaboration, coordinate meetings, and ensure effective communication across the network.

  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Bridge disciplines such as engineering, computer science, environmental science, and economics to foster a multi-faceted approach to project goals.

  • Research and Innovation: Conduct research, analyze data, and contribute to the development of a visionary roadmap for a digitally enabled circular economy.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate research findings and promote sustainable practices among industries, government entities, and wider communities.

About You:

The successful candidate will have a relevant PhD or equivalent experience in a related field, such as Circular Economy or Digital Technology. You should be recognized nationally as an expert in your field, possess strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills, and be capable of leading and developing research initiatives. Additionally, you'll have the ability to communicate a clear vision for the future, integrate diverse perspectives, and work effectively within teams.
