Teacher- Business Studies 


Bedford Sixth Form wishes to recruit a committed and passionate Business Studies Teacher to join our team. As a Business Studies Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in assisting the college to achieve success in teaching and learning experiences. You will prepare, teach, assess, and verify business courses at various levels to ensure that our students attain their full academic and personal potential.


You will actively participate in curriculum development, new teaching strategies, and marketing our programs to potential students. As a crucial contributor to the total student experience, you will mentor students to success as part of our collaborative, inclusive learning environment.




Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and prepare very outstanding lessons on business studies at levels A-Level and Diploma.

  • Support and mentor students towards their academic goals.

  • They should, therefore, provide a dynamic and engaging learning experience.

  • Contribute to the evolution of the curriculum and methods of teaching.

  • He will participate in promotional and marketing activities for the programs of the college.


About You:


  • Honours degree with a relevant content.

  • Teaching Certificate or equivalent.

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

  • Teaching experience at A-Level and Diploma Business Studies.

  • Experience with 16-18 year olds in a Sixth Form or Further Education context.

  • Good subject knowledge, syllabus awareness and ability to implement effective classroom practices

  • Experience of using ILT to enhance student learning.

  • Record of successful teaching to demonstrate the pupil's welfare can be promoted.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, including; making sure children are kept safe, respect their rights, safeguard and promote their welfare.
