Postdoctoral Research Assistant (PDRA) – Urban ReLeaf Project

We are looking for a talented Postdoctoral Research Assistant (PDRA) with expertise in participatory approaches and a background in urban, environmental, or sustainability research to join the Horizon Europe/UKRI-funded Urban ReLeaf project. This interdisciplinary role focuses on participatory design, community engagement, and knowledge exchange to help shape future cities through citizen-driven data and insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and facilitate collaborative workshops and community engagement activities across six cities.

  • Lead and support citizen data collection, perform data analysis, and synthesize findings.

  • Contribute to establishing and managing a Community of Practice (CoP) focused on urban futures.

  • Develop and evaluate research outputs, reports, and publications to ensure project impact and sustainability.

  • Collaborate on interdisciplinary research, delivering high-quality results, and assist with team management.



Who We’re Looking For:

  • A PhD in Urban Design, Planning, Environmental Science, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in both qualitative and quantitative research, with a strong publication record.

  • Expertise in participatory design and citizen science, with strong facilitation skills for stakeholder engagement.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently and collaboratively.

  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Miro, Trello) and research tools for data analysis and visualization.
