Research Assistant in Reproductive Biology

Are you an early-career researcher eager for your next challenge? Do you have experience in cell culture and reproductive biology? Would you like to advance your career at one of the UK's leading research-intensive universities?

The University of Leeds is ranked among the top 80 universities worldwide, with a global community of over 39,000 students from 170 countries and more than 9,000 staff from 100 nationalities. Established in 1904, we have a proud history of academic excellence, offering first-class education and world-leading research that makes a real impact globally.

We are seeking a passionate Research Assistant to join our Wellcome Trust-funded project investigating the impact of heat stress, linked to climate change, on offspring health. Climate change is one of the most critical challenges of our time, and understanding how maternal heat stress affects the health of their offspring is essential for ensuring future generations of healthy babies. Our interdisciplinary project combines cutting-edge 3D in vitro models that replicate maternal-embryo interactions, alongside comparative studies to assess how acute heat stress affects long-term offspring health. The successful candidate will receive training in advanced 3D in vitro models and Omics techniques, including single-cell RNA and ATAC sequencing.
