Job Summary:


NIHR Leeds HealthTech Research Centre for Accelerated Surgical Care is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead and support the healthcare technology research and development agenda. In this role, you'll lead developments and deliver innovative surgical technologies and diagnostics by overseeing critical projects that make it easier and safer for patients to receive their medical care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • The guide should be developed and implemented by project leadership on the development and implementation of surgical technologies and diagnostics. Expertise in such experiences is therefore based on medical devices, digital technologies, and the development of diagnostics.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Speaking with academics and clinicians around regulatory, strategic, and funding considerations; collaborating with NHS Trusts, charities, and industry partners to build impactful collaborations.

  • Research and Training Lead horizon scanning for potential new research ideas Deliver training to stakeholders to ensure coordination and linking between projects.

  • Strategic Input: Collaborates closely with the HRC Theme Leads and provides a body of the Senior Management Team. Supports project budget responsibility to ensure that work is completely aligned with the goals and objectives of the Centre.




Qualifications and Experience:


  • Should have a strong understanding of project management skills in either healthcare or academic research and be an expert in medical device regulations and translational product development pathways.

  • Desirable: Background in costing projects within healthcare research and direct research support experience.
