Summary

We are in the beginning of a new M&S and this is one of the most exciting Content and Channels roles in the UK right now. Are you ready to make your mark on one of the UK’s most trusted and talked about brands?


This role offers variety, working with the Senior Content & Channels Manager as well as the broader Corporate Affairs team to champion channels and bring to life the magic of M&S with every campaign.


Our ambition is to drive engagement and grow our reach amongst our key business partners reaching influencers on issues from sustainability to health and wellbeing. This is where you come in!


The role is part of the Corporate Affairs team, which is accountable for building belief in M&S’s transformation and growing its relevancy, all while maintaining exceptional public trust in the brand. We are a digital-first communications team, dynamic, creative, and increasingly data-driven, and we need dynamic creative, and data-driven people to help us drive the change we need to make.

What you'll do

  • Working with the Senior Content & Channels Manager to create engaging and impactful, fame-driving social media content that builds brand awareness and engagement.

  • Support with the day-to-day management of social platforms, including posting and scheduling content, primarily on LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and Threads.

  • Support the day-to-day management of our Corporate Website, working with business partners to keep it modern and fresh – uploading blogs, and press releases.

  • Be at the forefront of the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to drive a social-first culture within the business and maximize the impact of M&S’ social content.

  • Support day-to-day operations, CMS, and publishing schedule of corporate channels – ensuring they are up to date and a brilliant shop window for our corporate transformation.





Who you are

  • Experience in using and publishing on CMS platforms with a high degree of personal and professional familiarity with all social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube, etc.

  • Experience working with large-scale social campaigns, and the ability to work efficiently, at pace, and to tight time frames

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

  • A digitally literate person who keeps on top of key trends and innovations and can drive the tikki fiction of video content

  • A strong storyteller with exceptional copywriting and editing skills who can develop content for a range of external channels and who understands that great content is more than just great copy.
